Do you know @Pokedrogon ? His secondary account pokedragonwolf has just been banned, probably for "ban evasion". Previously DeviantArt indicated whether an account was banned or disabled by the user but now it is disabled in both cases. But I'm sure that Pokedrogon was rebanned even though he had promised to only put drawings in his favorites on his secondary account, he never tried to repost anything given the risks (apart from a message added as a deviation to warn who he is and what happened).

Even though it's been a long time since I spoke to him, Pokedrogon is a good friend, he doesn't deserve to be banned like that or even to be rebanned for "fear of a possible recurrence".

If only there was an adaptable solution (without going through the famous paywall system and reserving it for Core members) to resolve this problem... Before the application of the rules, we had not had this problem and yes, we can be afraid of getting caught by DA but as long as we had activated the mature content filter, everything was fine but even with that, even with the filter activated, even with a warning, we take the risk of getting banned... 😰 As if fetish artists and those who do NSFW are the big bad guys 😰 even the nicest and most harmless 😰

UPDATE (October 2nd, 2023) : After an appeal, DeviantArt refuses to resubmit the “incriminated” deviations... it may be understandable for the pokemon trainer with Buzzwole but not the drawing where a child posed with his father in a touching and slightly humorous context (otherwise I wouldn't have done it)... They should not be surprised that people leave their site to go elsewhere even if they do nothing wrong... For my part, if I am banned, I will go to Itaku, at least they can accept SFW and NSFW! [Little Update] You know what? If DeviantArt ever removes my drawing of the 'Yellow' viking (the one where she is muscular) from VOT, I will put it back. I will put it back and say loud and clear that there is nothing offensive about what I do! And believe me, I'm not going to stop! If it is necessary to hide, I will hide it as mature content! Where does this violate the rules??? WHERE??? I did nothing to the child on the first drawing and for the viking girl (sketch and color) she is an adult!!! Don't mess around though! I'm sure a human moderator did this, how do I protest this decision? I'm still not going to hide, we don't see anything shocking! 🤦‍♂️

Attention risk of small drama but it is for the good cause :

I don't know if you realize but if you delete your drawings in your gallery, we, the people who put the drawings in the favorites, are sad because it's memories that disappear. I realized this when the number of deviations drops in the Owlboy favorites folder. I don't know which drawing could have disappeared but I have the impression that nothing important has been missed but it's really sad that it disappears... 😔

Anyway, I have my little theory, it's probably because of what DeviantArt wanted to do : serve the drawings to make an artificial intelligence learn to create other drawings from that and like the artists n don't like having their art stolen, most of the drawings are deleted... but there is an option to disable this possibility of the bot using your drawing(s)! And it's completely a waste to have to delete a drawing just because of that! Memories disappear!

To deactivate this possibility : Account Setting > General > Go down to "Tell AI Datasets They Can't Use Your Content" then check the box "Add the "noai" flag to all my deviations"

Really, it saddens me, I hope it won't continue if anyone reads this post, THINK before deleting your work saying to yourself "I boycott DeviantArt because it uses AI to steal works!" , there are people who want to stay and who want to see the works from others in their favorites when, for example, they need a reference or review the work they liked!

Attention risque de petit drama mais c'est pour la bonne cause :

Je ne sais pas si vous vous rendez compte mais si vous supprimez vos dessins dans votre galerie, nous, les personnes qui mettent les dessins dans les favoris, sommes tristes car c'est des souvenirs qui disparaissent. Je m'en suis rendu compte lorsque le nombre de deviation a chuté dans le dossier favoris Owlboy. Je ne sais pas quel dessin avait pu disparaitre mais j'ai l'impression que aucun d'important n'a manqué mais c'est vraiment triste que ça disparaisse... 😔

En tout cas, j'ai ma petite théorie, c'est sûrement à cause de ce que DeviantArt avait voulu de faire : servir les dessins pour faire apprendre une intelligence artificielle de créer d'autres dessins à partir de cela et comme les artistes n'aiment pas qu'on vole leur art, la plupart des dessins sont supprimés... mais il y a une option qui permettait de désactiver cette possibilité que le bot se serve de votre ou vos dessins! Et ça c'est complètement du gâchis de devoir supprimer un dessin juste à cause de ça! Des souvenirs disparaissent!

Vraiment, ça m'attriste, j'espère que ça ne va pas continuer si quelqu'un lisait ce post, RÉFLÉCHISSEZ avant de supprimer votre travail en vous disant "Je boycott DeviantArt parce qu'il utilise une IA pour voler des oeuvres!", il y a des gens qui veulent rester et qui veulent voir les oeuvres des autres dans leurs favoris quand, par exemple, ils ont besoin d'une référence ou revoir l'oeuvre qu'ils ont aimé!
